Room 2 at The Desert Lily is a private guest room in a shared home on five acres, offering simple comfort and shared access to the pool, firepit, and kitchen. With a queen bed, private bathroom, and peaceful desert setting just 8 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park and the village, it’s a welcoming spot to slow down and soak up the high desert.

The Desert Lily is a rustic, well-loved retreat set on five open acres in north Joshua Tree. The property captures the spirit of the high desert - quiet mornings, starry nights, and a feeling of calm that’s hard to find anywhere else.

Room 2 features a private entrance, queen bed, and en-suite bathroom. It’s designed simply, with natural light, warm desert tones, and everything you need for a restful stay.

Guests also have shared access to the fully equipped kitchen, dining area, great room with fireplace, outdoor patios, firepit, and pool. It’s a peaceful place to read, unwind, or connect with the desert landscape.

Guests have private access to Room 2 and its attached bathroom. Shared spaces include the kitchen, dining area, living room, patio, pool, and firepit areas.

Free parking and EV charging available on-site.

It's self check-in but we are available if needed during your stay.

Pool and spa heating is available for an additional fee, as propane is very costly in the desert. Please inquire before booking if you’d like the pool or spa heated. The spa heating is $75 for 4 hours. Pool heating is $250 per day. This covers the actual cost of the fuel needed to heat it.

Note: Heating cannot be guaranteed, and we’re unable to offer discounts if the heater isn’t working during your stay.

Wildlife:

You may spot rabbits, roadrunners, lizards, coyotes, and other desert creatures. The desert is peaceful but alive with nature. Keep doors closed and food sealed, and enjoy the quiet beauty of this high-desert landscape.
