Joshua Tree is a designated Dark Sky community — at night the firepit is the best seat in the house.
A car is essential. Most guests fly into Palm Springs (PSP, ~50 min) or Ontario (ONT, ~90 min); LAX is ~2.5 hours. Driveway is well-maintained for standard vehicles. Free on-site parking + Tesla EV charging (bring adapter for non-Tesla).

POOL & SPA HEATING:
- Hot tub next to main house: heated year-round, INCLUDED.
- Pool: unheated by default. Heating $250/day (covers propane cost). 1-night stays = 1.5 days to cover startup.
- Extra spa heating beyond included hot tub: $75 / 4 hrs.
- Heating cannot be mechanically guaranteed; no refunds if a heater fails.
- Request heating BEFORE booking.
NO WASHER/DRYER on-site. Laundromat in town (~10 min). Plan packing accordingly.
RUSTIC PROPERTY: Handcrafted desert homestead — adobe and bottle walls, lived-in character. Not a sleek modern build.
WILDLIFE: Rabbits, roadrunners, lizards, coyotes. Keep doors closed and food sealed.
